Sleepfix Rental Terms and Conditions.
Please read the terms and conditions carefully. Buy using this website and applying for a rental agreement you will be deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions. Please note that these terms may be changed without notice from time to time, so you should refer to them regularly. By continuing to use the website after the terms have been varied, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by the variation. Please read these terms in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, as updated by us from time to time.
Renting, also known as hiring or letting, is an agreement where a payment is made for the temporary use of a good, service or property owned by another. The benefit of renting is that the consumer is able to use the product immediately without making full payment upfront. House holds change and there is often a short term need that can be easily supported by a temporary rental instead of long term purchase. A rental agreement is a contractual arrangement calling for the user to pay the owner for use of an asset. The sleepfix agent is the legal owner of the asset; the user obtains the right to use the asset in return for regular rental payments. A rental agreement is a legal contract, and thus enforceable by all parties under contract law.
Security Deposit.
A mandatory security deposit of $300 is required for first time clients of Sleepfix.com.au. This is a security deposit. We will return the $300 in full on completion of 3 months continuous and reliable rental payments.
Up Front Costs
Your up front charges will be security deposit, two weeks rent and delivery / assembly costs. The rental and delivery costs vary on the product selected and the area to be installed.
Payday Loans and Rent to Buy Borrowers.
According to Australian Government Taxation ruling IT 28 Leasing arrangements of plant and machinery, the sleepfix rental agreement is purely a rental agreement. There is no rent to buy process, lease option or opportunity to purchase the goods at the end of the agreement. The agreement is for a consumable item that is used for the term of the agreement. The item is disposed of at the end of the rental agreement.
The following options are available at the end of the rental agreement .
At the end of the rental agreement you may wish to renew your agreement, at which time a new mattress will be delivered and the old mattress will be taken away. The new 52 week term will commence and the payments will be negotiated on the brand and type of product selected. At no time does the ownership of the product pass to the consumer. At the end of the negotiated term the product is to be returned to a sleepfix.com.au agent for disposal.
At the end of the rental agreement you may wish to extend your current mattress rental term. At which time a new rental agreement will be negotiated based on the current market value of the mattress. The new 12 month term will commence and the payments will continue for a further 52 weeks at the negotiated value. At no time does the ownership of the mattress pass to the consumer. At the end of the negotiated term the mattress is to be returned to a sleepfix.com.au agent for disposal.
Plain English Case Study Example.
Jack and Jill went up the hill to dream of their brand new home. They found their spot, they dream of the future and they know that they need to save everything they can for there deposit. They both work hard and come home to their rental unit and crash day after day. They wake up tired and sore, they are grumpy at work and not performing there best. They need a new bed that will fit in their flat and not cost the earth. They are saving for their deposit so don’t want to get into credit debt. Applying for a home loan and having credit card debt is not good. The answer is to rent from sleepfix.com.au
Jack and Jill find a new Lumbar Support Mattress and agree to the Rental Agreement and Terms.
$300 security deposit (returned after 3 months of regular rental payments)
52 payments of $30.00 = $1560.00
Delivery and assembly cost to my area (up to) $200.00
Total $1760.00 over 12 months.
Jack and Jill thought they would have their new place by now but it hasn’t happened yet.
They decide to keep their mattress for a further 12 months and contact Sleepfix.com.au to renegotiate the terms of the agreement.
The new terms are agreed to.

Total $312.00
Their deposit is saved and they can move into their new house and land package. They are no longer paying rent on their flat, they now have a mortgage, their number one priority. Their high quality Sleepfix Mattress is still going strong, so they decide to keep it for another year. They contact sleepfix.com.au and again renegotiate the terms. They have more room now and decide to rent out a room for their friend to help with the mortgage payments. Their friend doesn’t have any furniture so they decide to get s second mattress and put the old mattress into the spare room for their tenant. Being such a great customer, they negotiate a fantastic deal on the new mattress and are excited to sleep on their new bed in their new home.

Sleepfix does not lend you any money or charge you any interest. We are not a rent to buy agency. We simply source products of excellence and rent them to the consumer. At the end of the rental period the product can not be resold or sent to public auction because it is a mattress and that would be unsanitary. Our products are made to be used and enjoyed. If you are having money or debt problems please contact us to renegotiate the rental terms. A well rested person is a more productive person.
